Accessibility

The target is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.2, level AA, across the public site, the athlete and coach workspaces, and the meet-day surfaces. Attempt has not been audited by a third party, and nothing here is a conformance claim. It is a description of what we have built and tested ourselves.

• ·Every interactive element shows a visible focus ring, and the primary flows are operable from the keyboard: navigation, tables, dialogs, the logging flow and the referee controls.
• ·Forms use real labels tied to their inputs, and validation errors are announced in context rather than only coloured red.
• ·Status is never carried by colour alone: a badge or an alert always pairs the colour with an icon or a word.
• ·Data is in real tables with real headers, so a screen reader can read a row of loads as a row.
• ·Touch targets on the athlete screens are at least 48 pixels, because they are used one-handed between sets.
• ·All motion respects the reduced-motion setting your system exposes, including the front page animation.

These are the ones we know about. Listing them is not an excuse for them.

• ·Decorative canvas drawings, including the front page card stage and the contour field behind some sections, are marked aria-hidden. They carry no information, but a reader using a screen reader gets nothing from them at all.
• ·The career graph is drawn as a chart with a text summary beside it. The underlying numbers are on the meets tab, but the graph itself is not yet navigable point by point from the keyboard.
• ·Colour contrast on muted secondary text over panel backgrounds has been checked by eye rather than measured on every surface, and the plate red accent has not been verified against every ground it appears on.
• ·Some generated share cards and broadcast cards are images of text. Alternative text describes the lift; the numbers themselves are on the profile page.
• ·Reflow and text-spacing behaviour at high zoom has been spot-checked on the main public pages, not measured across every screen.
• ·There is no third-party audit, and no screen reader testing beyond the ones the team uses.
• ·Video uploaded by coaches and athletes has no captioning, and Attempt does not generate any.

If something here stops you using Attempt, write to support@attemptpl.com and say what you were trying to do, which page, and what assistive technology and browser you were using. Accessibility reports go to the front of the queue, and we will tell you what we are doing about it rather than closing the thread.

If you need something from Attempt that the interface will not give you, ask and we will get it to you another way while the fix is built.
