Attempt hosts content that its users upload. If some of it is yours and should not be here, this is how to get it taken down.

Attempt is in public beta; this document is a working draft and will be reviewed by counsel before general availability.
1. Reporting infringement
Send a notice to team@attemptpl.com with the subject line Copyright. A person reads it. So that we can act without writing back for basics, include all of the following:
- Identification of the work. What is it, and where does the original live? A link to your own copy, a registration number, or enough description that the work is unambiguous.
- The location on Attempt. The full address of every page where the material appears, copied from the browser bar. One notice can cover several addresses.
- Your contact details. Name, postal address, email address and telephone number.
- A statement, in good faith, that you believe the use is not authorised by you, your agent or the law.
- A statement that the information in the notice is accurate, and that you are the rights owner or authorised to act on their behalf.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
Trademark and likeness complaints go to the same address, with the same detail: what the mark or likeness is, where it appears, and what your rights in it are.
2. What happens next
We acknowledge the notice, and where it is complete and credible we remove or disable access to the material while we look at it. We tell the user who uploaded it what was removed and why, and we pass on the substance of your notice, which usually means your name reaches them.
A notice that is incomplete is not ignored: we write back asking for the missing part. Notices that are obviously abusive, or aimed at content the sender has no rights in, are refused.
3. If your content was removed
If you uploaded something that was taken down and you believe that was a mistake or a misidentification, reply to the notice we sent you, or write to team@attemptpl.com, explaining why you have the right to post it.
For counsel: The formal counter-notification process, including the sworn statement, the consent to jurisdiction, and the statutory waiting period before restoration, has not been drafted or reviewed. Until it is, counter-notices are handled by correspondence and on the facts.
4. Repeat infringers
Accounts that infringe repeatedly are terminated. We keep a record of notices we act on, and an account that keeps appearing in them loses access, including any coach profile, gym listing or meet it holds.
5. Before you upload
Everything you upload carries an affirmation that you own it or have permission to post it, and that every identifiable person in it has agreed to appear. That is section 4 of the Terms of Service. Meet footage in particular tends to contain other lifters, spotters and referees.
6. Attempt content, and data that is not ours
The Attempt name, wordmark, interface and the text on these pages are ours, and are not free to copy. Competition results are not ours: they come from OpenPowerlifting under CC BY-SA 4.0, attributed wherever they appear. Attempt is not affiliated with or endorsed by any powerlifting federation or OpenPowerlifting.
7. Everything else
If the problem is not about rights in a work, for example a profile that is inaccurate, impersonates someone, or should not be published at all, use the report form instead. It reaches the same people faster.
